My Hobbies

When it comes to my hobbies, I’ve always been someone who enjoys exploring a wide range of interests. Some of these hobbies have shaped my character, while others are outlets for my curiosity and creativity.

One of my biggest passions is map creation and analysis, which has been a part of my life since 2019. I find maps fascinating because they can visually tell stories about geopolitical dynamics, demographics, and historical trends. Creating original maps allows me to blend creativity with data, and it's a great way for me to explore different regions and political landscapes.

Another key interest of mine is reviewing movies, TV series, and books. Over the years, I’ve reviewed more than 300 films on Criticker, and I also maintain a personal blog where I dive deeper into the themes of what I watch and read. It’s not just about enjoying entertainment for me; it’s about analyzing the storytelling, characters, and cultural impact. It gives me a chance to sharpen my critical thinking and share my perspectives with others.

Music has always been an important part of my life, and playing the piano since 2019 has been both a creative outlet and a source of relaxation. Performing in German-language theater productions like "Die Schöne und Das Biest" also opened up a fun and expressive side of me, combining my love for languages with performance art.

In terms of sports, I’ve had a long-standing passion for basketball, soccer, and swimming. Although injuries have shifted my role from player to more of a coach or analyst, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of strategy and teamwork in sports, which has been a rewarding transition. I also love watching and analyzing sports, including Formula 1, volleyball, and, of course, soccer and basketball. It’s all about seeing the game from different angles and understanding the intricacies.

Chess is another favorite hobby that has sharpened my strategic thinking over the years. It’s a game that mirrors my love for problem-solving and thinking ahead, making it a perfect fit for my analytical mindset.

Lastly, I enjoy blogging, where I explore topics like popular culture, history, sociology, and sports. Writing allows me to express my ideas and engage with broader discussions, and it's a space where I can explore topics that might not fit into my academic or technical work. Whether it’s through writing, sports, music, or map analysis, my hobbies are all connected by a desire to explore, create, and understand the world around me.
